Litchfield National Park
A comfortable hour-and-a-half journey from Darwin, Litchfield National Park is one of the Top End’s hidden treasures. It features numerous waterfalls which cascade from a sandstone plateau, intriguing magnetic termite mounds, historical sites, diverse flora and fauna and impressive natural formations. Your clients can visit on one of the many day or overnight tour packages departing Darwin or hire a car and self-drive along the sealed roads. 

Tiwi Islands
The Tiwi Islands provide a unique and rare opportunity to view and share the culture of the Tiwi Aboriginal people. Visitors who wish to make the easy day trip from Darwin or an overnight tour must go with an organised tour or fishing group. Tiwi Islanders are famous for their art. Your clients will be able to visit art galleries and purchase distinctive art, silk screened cloth, sculptures and wooden carvings direct from the artists.

Trip Duration

Four days in Darwin is just enough time to explore the city and its surrounding attractions, with a trip down to Litchfield Park on the side. If you want to visit Kakadu National Park, approximately 3 1/2 hours drive from Darwin, add a minimum of two to three days for this trip.

Getting There and Around

Darwin is accessible by rail, air, cruise ship and road from most major cities around Australia. Darwin International Airport is approximately 20 minutes from the CBD. Airport Shuttle service, taxis, privatre hire cars and car rentals are available at the airport or can be booked in advance. Darwin CBD is compact and easy to walk around.
